A word about riversmeetings 2
SMILE…n look WHERE WE’RE GOING!!
The riversmeeting is moving into a new era. Here are some of our new directions…
CHURCH: The Living Room. Sunday afternoons 4pm/ and occasional Saturday evening celebrations. Riversmeetings include prayer, worship and preaching. We offer a crèche for the tinies and a junior class meeting for the biggies. Followed bu good food.
DRUMSHANBO: Wesley House (our bric a brac a craic shop) is now open Tuesday- Thursday. Can you share on the rota? We’d like you to join the team serving free coffee and selling stuff, getting to know people and sharing your gospel-story with them.
SCHOOL WORK: Every Thursday we are going into Carrick Community School and talking to teenagers about their faith. Our morning slot is called FAITH WORKS. See Pastor Noel for training if you are interested in joining the team.
CHILDRENS WORK: Every Wednesday evening we are developing the St Patrick’s Kid’s Club from 5.30-6.30pm on the St Patrick’s estate. Can you be part of this venture? We have already met a whole bunch of parents and kids whom we want to see as part of the kingdom. This is front-line evangelism. Last week we had around twenty-five kids a day in the holiday club with Joe and Mabel Kennedy.
SUNDAY NIGHT: The Healing Room: we are offering prayer for healing on Sunday evenings at 8.00pm. Just prayer, with background music and an invitation to the Holy Spirit.
JOINT CHURCH: First Sunday in the month join in with African Redeemed folk at Unit 6, Dublin Road Shannonside Retail Park 12.00-2.00pm. sending a “Signal to the partners in the other boat” (Luke 5).
WEBSITE: We have had thousands of hits on our website https://riversmeeting.wordpress.com This is like the magazine of the church. It includes video spots/ in-house photos/ humour/ music/ short talks/ testimonies and links into Bible studies. It also operates as a forum for inter-church discussion. Have a look and think how you might contribute.
